About Sessions
Only one subject per session per day will be tutored. If you would like both subjects to be tutored to your child, then two days per week would be fine. Otherwise, your child can be tutored for one day a week. Sessions can last up to 2 hours depending on the material and the age of your child, but mostly an hour a day will work. You must contact me to set up an opening slot for your child; see below for good times.
During tutoring sessions, I will be helping your child to either master a concept, homework help, or anything else that is needed. Once we have mastered a concept, I will ask you if you would like to continue tutoring or not. I also try to make my tutoring fun and engaging so if time will allow, I will try to include an activity.

Pricing
I charge $30 an hour and the reason for this is because I use part of it for supplies when teaching your child and to make sure that they succeed! It is my top priority! I accept cash and Venmo. The amount you pay will depend on how many sessions your child has had throughout the week and you can pay at the end of each week. There are no refunds! You can find me here on Venmo!
Meeting Up
I would recommend online tutoring if you live farther from my home. I am located in Tickfaw/Hammond area. If you live in my area, I would be happy to welcome your child into my home where I tutor! If you would like to arrange something else please feel free to email me. If you live farther away, I would suggest online tutoring through Zoom. (See Zoom instructions in the Forms section.) I use Google Classroom so that you and your child can access all materials there. Once you sign up, I will send you a link.
Practice Activities
Your child may have practice homework to take with them after each session. I will also provide a slip to show what we did. Tutoring takes time and effort on both sides! I expect you as their parent or guardian to support and encourage your child's progress at home and in the activities that are sent home.
Tutoring Forms
These are the forms I must have before each session. Before filling any of them out, please make sure you email me so that we can set up an available time and day for your child. Please print out each form, sign and fill them out, then use a document scanner to email me the finished forms. Or you can mail them to me to my mailing address. I need handwritten signatures! Thank you!
Attendance Policy
If your child misses a session, please notify as soon as possible. Your child will be able to make up a session for an extra day. If your child misses too many sessions then I would recommend cancelling tutoring altogether. In order to make sure your child has the best experience they need to come to every session. Tutoring is only for those who are willing to show up!
